“Dhaval Nisha” – A Moonlit Musical Celebration of Sharad Poornima

Mumbai, 29th September 2025 — Pancham Nishad, in association with P. L. Deshpande Kala Academy, proudly presents “Dhaval Nisha”, a special concert celebrating the luminous festival of Sharad Poornima, on Monday, 6th October 2025 at 6.30 p.m. at Kalangan, Ravindra Natya Mandir, Mumbai. Admission is free and open to all.

This enchanting evening will feature Paras Nath (flute), one of India’s most gifted flautists from Varanasi’s legendary lineage, and Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar (vocals), the globally renowned maestro of the Mewati Gharana. They will be accompanied by Yashwant Vaishnav and Ajinkya Joshi on tabla and Abhishek Shinkar on harmonium.

Sharad Poornima, the night of the brightest full moon in the year, holds deep cultural and spiritual significance in Indian tradition. It is believed that on this night, the moon showers its healing and nourishing energy on Earth, making it an auspicious occasion for music, devotion, and togetherness. “Dhaval Nisha” seeks to capture this celestial essence through the timeless beauty of Indian classical music.

With Dhaval Nisha, we aim to create an experience where the serenity of the full moon blends with the soulful notes of classical music, offering audiences a memorable celebration of India’s cultural heritage.”
