Indie cinema’s uncompromising voice, Prashant Jade, returns with his second feature film Bhram, under the banner of XpressionZ Productions. Unpopularly yet proudly called the “One Man Filmmaker”, Prashant has once again taken charge of story, screenplay, direction, cinematography, and editing, proving his multi-hyphenate brilliance.
After his rom-com debut Bae-dard, Bhram shifts gears into a roller-coaster of emotions with shades of thriller. The DI has been handled by another powerhouse—Saurav Verma, a multifaceted actor and technician who brings sharpness and finesse to the film.
Production began in 2023 and, like many indie ventures, faced daunting challenges—financial roadblocks, post-production delays, and the constant uncertainty of independent filmmaking. But through sheer perseverance and passion, Prashant kept the vision alive. “Finding the right cast is half the work done. Hurdles are part of the journey, but once the film is complete, every struggle is worth it,” says Prashant, who carries decades of rich theatre and film experience.
When asked about producers or OTT releases, he smiles, “I believe the right doors will open. OTTs chase big names, but my cast is no less than any so-called celebrity. They come with powerful theatre backgrounds and unmatched talent.”
The ensemble cast features the versatile Suresh Sharma, the expressive Anju Nair, the intense Batul Diwan, the nuanced Lakshmi Ram, the dynamic Dr. Pooja Pandey Tripathi, and the talent power-house Saurav Verma. Joining them are Aakash Dutta, Ranvith Kashyap, Abhijeet Sahay, Ujjwal Vasisht, Paul Vannan, Narayan Desai, Jayteerth Mirji, Rupesh Kumar, Amit Mehta, and Sue Anieson—each bringing their unique presence to this emotional puzzle of stories.
At its heart, Bhram explores the lives of five female writers who pitch their stories to a producer. Each comes with her own emotional baggage, societal pressure, and struggle, but every narration unfolds a different flavor—making the film a layered exploration of human emotion, ambition, and truth. With music composed by Kevin and Vedant Atishay, the film promises both depth and mood.
The trailer launches on October 5, and the full feature will premiere October 14 exclusively on XpressionZ Productions’ YouTube channel.
For Prashant Jade, it isn’t about chasing stardom—it’s about relentless storytelling. “I’ll keep working. My films will decide my future,” he signs off.
