One-day filmmaking workshop organised by JaaDeX Innovision at Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, Mangalagiri brings filmmakers, creators, students, industry experts and distinguished guests together around the creative economy.
AMARAVATI, Andhra Pradesh : The Amaravati Creative Economy – Filmmaking Workshop, organised by JaaDeX Innovision Pvt. Ltd. at the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH), Mangalagiri, brought together aspiring filmmakers, students, creators and experienced professionals for a one-day programme focused on filmmaking, creative skills, technology and the wider creative economy.
The workshop recorded more than 300 registrations and over 180 attendees, reflecting strong interest in filmmaking, creative careers and opportunities to connect with professionals across the creative sector.
Built around the theme CREATE • COLLABORATE • CULTIVATE • CONVERT, the programme was shaped by the idea that a film may begin with a single story or creative thought, but turning that idea into a finished work depends on an ecosystem of people, specialised skills, technology and collaboration.
The event brought together 10+ speakers and industry experts representing different areas of filmmaking and creative content. Sessions and masterclasses covered screenwriting, direction, cinematography, production, editing, animation and visual effects, media and content creation, brand storytelling, intellectual property and AI in filmmaking.
Among the distinguished guests featured across the event were Dr. G. Lakshmisha, IAS, Collector and District Magistrate of NTR District; Shri Kandula Durgesh; Smt. Tejaswi Podapati; and Shri Suryateja Mallavarapu. Their participation added an institutional and ecosystem dimension to the programme, alongside the presence of filmmakers, creators and other industry professionals.
Rather than presenting filmmaking as a single discipline, the workshop highlighted the connected nature of the production journey. Participants were exposed to the progression from story and screenplay to direction, production, cinematography, post-production and the creation of content for audiences.
A notable element of the programme was a special online knowledge session by V. Vijendra Prasad. Although he was unable to attend the workshop in person, he connected with participants remotely and shared his insights on storytelling and the creative process.
The programme also looked at the changing relationship between technology and creative production. A dedicated masterclass on AI and the Future of Filmmaking explored the role of emerging digital tools and their relevance to filmmakers and content creators working in an evolving media environment.
The wider speaker line-up reflected the breadth of the programme, with experts and practitioners associated with cinematography, screenwriting, direction, animation, VFX, editing, film craft, media, creative content and new technology. This allowed participants to understand filmmaking not as one isolated skill, but as a chain of connected creative and technical roles.
The workshop further emphasised collaboration and networking. Students, aspiring filmmakers, creators, technicians and experienced professionals shared the same platform, creating opportunities for conversations across disciplines and reinforcing the event’s focus on people and professional connections alongside skills.
The event communication centred on the supporting pillars Ideas • People • Skills • Opportunities. These pillars were carried into the programme itself through expert-led sessions, industry interaction, practical exposure and discussions around possible creative pathways.
The event was supported by an ecosystem of institutional and industry partners, with Digital Verto participating as the digital partner for the initiative. The broader partner network helped connect the workshop with organisations working across media, training, creative services and the wider film ecosystem.
For JaaDeX Innovision, the workshop represents a broader approach to creative-sector engagement: creating platforms where emerging talent can access knowledge, interact with experienced professionals, understand new technologies and build relationships that can continue beyond a single event.
The response to the workshop – more than 300 registrations and over 180 attendees – provided a clear measure of the level of interest around filmmaking and creative-sector learning. It also highlighted the value of platforms that bring together young talent and experienced practitioners in a common space.
As filmmaking continues to intersect with digital content, animation, VFX, AI and other creative technologies, initiatives that connect people and skills can help build stronger pathways between learning, collaboration and professional opportunity. The Amaravati Creative Economy – Filmmaking Workshop was built around that ecosystem-led idea: move from ideas to skills, from skills to collaboration, and from collaboration towards opportunity.
