Bisbo Records Partners with Odd Music to Launch “Shuddho Prem” – A Bangla Pop Banger by Death by Anjuna

Bisbo Records proudly announces its partnership with Odd Music for the release of “Shuddho Prem”, the explosive new single by Kolkata/Goa-based electro-pop duo Death by Anjuna, comprising Q (aka Doktorgandu) and The Burning Deck.

A hypnotic 140 BPM Bangla Pop groovefest, “Shuddho Prem” fuses The Burning Deck’s deep electronic soundscapes with Q’s razor-edged Bengali rap, layered with the haunting hook of Ganja Kumari. The track reimagines an old song by Mansur Faqir, grinding and distilling it into its most primal form while offering a bold, alternate take both musically and philosophically.

Speaking about the song, Q shares, “Odd Music and Bisbo Records coming together is a huge win for artists like us. It’s rare to find platforms that not only allow but encourage you to break rules, mash up sounds, and speak your truth in your own language. With this partnership, we’re building space for Bangla Pop that is unapologetically bold and experimental — and that’s exactly where Death by Anjuna thrives”

Shuddho Prem also marks the first release from Odd Music, a brand-new label dedicated to producing forward-looking Bangla Pop by artists who are unafraid to experiment and innovate.

This launch is especially significant as Odd Music joins hands with Bisbo Records, aligning perfectly with Bisbo’s vision of nurturing India’s next generation of independent voices.

Shakir Ebrahim, Founder of Bisbo Records, says, “Bangla Pop has always had a raw, untapped energy that deserves to be heard on bigger stages. With ‘Shuddho Prem,’ we’re not just putting out a track, we’re amplifying a movement. Bisbo Records wants to make sure fearless voices like Death by Anjuna lead the way in defining what the future of Indian independent music sounds like.”

With “Shuddho Prem”, Bisbo Records and Odd Music are setting the stage for a new era of Bangla Pop — fearless, experimental, and unapologetically real.
