Bhubaneswar, September 30, 2025: Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Executive Director of Wockhardt Limited, CEO of Wockhardt Foundation, and Founder of the I Am Peacekeeper Global Movement, has been conferred with the Honorary Doctor of Letters (D.Litt. – Honoris Causa) by KIIT Deemed to be University at its 21st Convocation.

Dr. Khorakiwala’s leadership in advancing social causes and creating platforms for unity, compassion, and justice has positioned him as one of the most prominent peace advocates of our time.

The convocation was held on September 26, 2025 at KIIT University’s Bhubaneswar campus. The event was attended by renowned academicians, dignitaries, and graduating students. Nobel Laureate Prof. Mohan Munasinghe graced the occasion as Chief Guest, alongside Mr. Ashok Kumar Parija, Chancellor of KIIT University, Prof. N.L. Mitra, Professor Emeritus and Former Chancellor, and Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor.

About Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala
Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala is a distinguished humanitarian, peace advocate, and business leader. As Executive Director of Wockhardt Ltd.—a global pharmaceutical and biotechnology enterprise—and CEO of Wockhardt Foundation, he has championed numerous large-scale initiatives in healthcare, education, and sanitation.
His flagship Mobile 1000 program has provided free primary healthcare to over 40 million underprivileged people in rural India over the past 12 years.
In 2011, he founded the I Am Peacekeeper Global Movement, which today unites over two million peacekeepers worldwide around seven core human values: Truth, Gratitude, Forgiveness, Love, Humility, Giving, and Patience.
In April 2025, Dr. Khorakiwala launched the Global Justice, Love & Peace Summit in Dubai, attended by 10 Nobel Peace Laureates.
