There are conversations that fill rooms with noise, and then there are the ones that cut straight through it. At the 11th Annual Women Power Summit and Awards 2026, held on May 23 at the National Stock Exchange of India in Mumbai, their keynote speaker, fitness icon and entrepreneur Krishna Shroff did exactly the latter. Invited as a special guest to the landmark event organised by Billennium Divas, she walked onto the stage with the kind of confidence and ease that comes naturally to her. And when the topic of feminism came up, she did not hedge, qualify or overcomplicate it. She simply said what she meant.
“I feel like feminism is such a huge topic of discussion for today. I think that’s much needed. But I think a lot of people complicate this whole idea. Feminism is not about woman over man, its just equality. And I think that equality is coming through now, more than ever before.” In a world where the word feminism has been stretched, debated and pulled in so many directions that it sometimes loses its own meaning, Krishna’s articulation of what it truly means, was a much-needed and very understood explanation. Clear, direct and completely without agenda. Equality. That is it. That is all it has ever been.
Krishna’s opinion landed with particular resonance at a summit that has, for eleven consecutive years, been doing the quiet, consistent work of building exactly that kind of equality. The Women Power Summit and Awards 2026, with its theme of Collective Power and Shared Progress, is built on the same foundation that Krishna described so simply from the stage. Not women over anyone. Just women, fully and unapologetically equal, taking up the space they have always deserved. And Krishna, who has accomplished all of that and so much more with her wellness empire and her MFN promotion, did not just attend this summit, she understood the assignment and nailed it.
