Kolkata’s Young Innovators Ignite a New Era of Education at Don Bosco Park Circus

The City of Joy is buzzing with anticipation as Don Bosco School, Park Circus, in a pioneering collaboration with International STEAM Research (ISR), USA, prepares to host MuseVention 2025. This dynamic two-day event, running from July 31 to August 1, 2025, promises to be a landmark celebration of student-led innovation, imagination, and interdisciplinary learning, showcasing breakthrough prototypes and transformative projects that truly reflect the evolving spirit of 21st-century education.

For the past three years, Don Bosco students have been on an extraordinary journey, transitioning from traditional textbook-driven learning to an immersive, curiosity-fuelled exploration. This profound shift has been significantly amplified by the mentorship of ISR facilitators, who introduced the cutting-edge AI STEAM Lab and the 7E Experiential Learning Framework. This interdisciplinary approach not only aligns seamlessly with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) but also actively cultivates real-world problem-solvers, empowering young minds with invaluable skills like creativity, agility, and resilience.

As preparation for this prestigious event, the students embarked on a series of enriching experiential learning workshops in addition to their regular STEAM sessions in the school. These workshops were designed to spark creativity and critical thinking, laying the groundwork for the remarkable projects they will display. The process of prototype making, saw students applying their imagination to design original working models for real-world scenarios. The Reverse Engineering Workshop provided invaluable hands-on exposure to the inner workings of devices, deepening their understanding of engineering principles. Meanwhile, the Invention-Innovation Workshop encouraged them to explore the nuanced differences between inventions and innovations within everyday contexts. The journey so far has empowered these young innovators to confidently showcase their ideas and articulate their processes with clarity and impact to the people who will be coming to witness MuseVention.

As these young minds prepare to take the stage at MuseVention 2025, their efforts are being met with overwhelming applause and admiration from parents across Kolkata. The tangible transformation in their children is evident, and their words reflect a deep sense of pride and hope.
