The trailer of Aamar Boss by Windows Productions is already winning hearts with its breathtaking freshness and emotional power. After a resplendent trailer launch in Kolkata, the team initiated another trailer launch in Mumbai.
Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, the film promises a cinematic experience that feels both soul-stirring and timeless.
The trailer proudly shows the spectacular Rakhee Gulzar in a heartwarming role. Her magnetic presence fills every frame with effortless grace, breathing life into the character of a strong, spirited mother. Sharing the screen with her, Shiboprosad Mukherjee delivers yet another vulnerably moving performance as a son navigating love, duty, and unspoken emotions with remarkable honesty.
Speaking about her return, Rakhee Gulzar shared, “Aamar Boss is a story that touched my heart from the very first narration. I agreed to do this film only because I could strongly relate with the story. Today, we have lost touch with our culture, our roots, everything has become superficial. I come from a background where everyone was closely knitted, seeing today’s generation where technology has taken over relationships worries me. Some relationships are so pure that they transcend age, time, and distance, that’s what this film beautifully captures.”
Shiboprosad Mukherjee further added, “The entire Bengali film industry is grateful to Rakhee didi for being a part of this beautiful film. It’s an absolute honour to have her on board. Apart from this, would like to thank Shaan Dada for lending his voice. ‘Aamar Boss,’ isn’t your regular film, the film humanises the ruthless corporate culture. Amidst all the layoffs, a film where humans and human relationships are prioritised is really needed. As Nandita didi mentioned, films like Aamar Boss are need it the hour.”
The trailer featuring Rakhee Gulzar and Shiboprosad Mukherjee weaves moments of laughter, heartbreak, and resilience into a narrative that already feels unforgettable. Every scene carries the signature warmth and emotional truth that Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee are celebrated for.
Nandita Roy reflected on the emotional resonance of the trailer, saying, “Aamar Boss is about the everyday bonds we often take for granted. We have adopted the culture of staying in nuclear families. In this scenario, the children are put in creches and ailing, elderly parents are left under the supervision of caretakers. I and Shibo wanted to tell this story because we are gradually forgetting the importance of family. While writing the story, we could only think of Rakhee ji to play the mom’s character and wanted Shibo to play the son and we matched so perfectly! Through the relationship of a mother and son, we wanted to show that love, in its purest form, is filled with both strength and vulnerability. We are humbled and overwhelmed by the love the trailer has received.”
Shaan further added, “This film is very special to me. My mother briefly resembled like Rakhee ji. People used to compliment her highlighting the same and she used to be overjoyed. Despite so many common threads, I couldn’t meet Rakhee ji but today I could meet her. Really feels special.”
Set to release on 9th May 2025, just ahead of Mother’s Day week, Aamar Boss has struck a deep chord with audiences, promising a powerful story of love, life, and second chances.
