Bengaluru, India — 29-01-2026: Rotto, a car concierge company, has been focused on simplifying vehicle ownership. In extension of that effort, the company has acquired DrWheelz, a doorstep car service platform operating across 26 cities in India since 2015. The acquisition was announced by the founders of both firms.
This merger fortifies Rotto’s operational capabilities as it prepares to launch a 30-minute mechanic service, aimed at addressing quick diagnostics, minor repairs, and immediate service needs at the customer’s location. DrWheelz’s mobile service infrastructure, trained service engineers, and operational systems will be integrated into Rotto’s concierge-led ownership model founded by Pranjal Jaiswal & Prabal Pratap.
DrWheelz was founded by Balaji Mohan, a national level champion racer turned entrepreneur. The concept of DrWheelz is a “true doorstep service” model in which the majority of vehicle maintenance is completed at the customer’s location using fully equipped mobile service vans. The company scaled its operations across multiple Indian cities by reducing dependency on workshops and minimising vehicle downtime.
As part of the transition, DrWheelz’s founder Balaji Mohan will take on a consulting role with Rotto for a brief period to support operational integration. His involvement will be focused on ensuring a smooth transition, while his primary long-term focus remains on building RoamPrime, his new venture, a full stack refurbished two wheeler sales company.
In a statement, Balaji Mohan asserted that DrWheelz brings “strong execution depth to Rotto’s concierge platform.” Regarding his involvement, he stated that it will be focused on “ensuring a smooth integration.” His long-term efforts remain centred on growing RoamPrime.
Rotto’s difference from other industry players lies in its technology-first approach to car ownership—bringing software, data, and AI into an industry that has traditionally operated with minimal digital infrastructure. While most automotive service models rely heavily on manual processes, scattered vendor coordination, and opaque pricing, Rotto is building a unified tech platform that orchestrates diagnostics, service execution, quality checks, and customer experience end-to-end.
The company is actively integrating AI-driven diagnostics, automated service validation, intelligent pricing, and real-time service tracking into its concierge stack. Through computer vision, conversational AI, and workflow automation, Rotto aims to reduce dependency on subjective human judgment, improve service transparency, and ensure consistent quality across locations. The acquisition of DrWheelz provides a strong physical execution layer that complements Rotto’s software-led vision—allowing technology to directly influence on-ground outcomes, rather than remaining a surface-level interface.
By combining mobile service infrastructure with deep tech and AI capabilities, Rotto is positioning itself to redefine how urban vehicle owners interact with repairs and maintenance – shifting the industry from reactive, workshop-centric models to proactive, data-driven, and doorstep-first experiences.
DrWheelz will continue to operate in the near term, with phased integration into Rotto’s systems over the coming months. Financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed.
