Sahiba Bali’s Take on “Being a Woman” Ignites Widespread Conversation

Sahiba Bali’s recent podcast appearance with Prakhar Gupta has crossed 100,000+ views within just 15 hours of release. The conversation that really caught people’s attention was her honest take on what it’s like being a woman in India.

In a now widely shared Instagram reel, Sahiba opened about the constant pressure on women to prove themselves, only to be judged no matter what they do. She points out how if a woman is working hard, she’s accused of ignoring her family, and if she’s not working, she’s called a gold digger. If she looks great, it’s chalked up to pretty privilege. If she doesn’t, people assume she needs help. She explains how women just can’t seem to do anything “right,” and that it’s exhausting.

She also shared her experience dealing with impostor syndrome, especially as someone who’s outspoken and politically aware. If she says something, people find it too much. If she doesn’t, she’s asked why she’s silent. And even when she achieves something, people often credit the men around her instead of her own hard work and skills.

Her honesty has clearly resonated, especially with young women who see themselves in the same double standards she’s calling out.

Sahiba Bali is known for her roles in Laila Majnu, Tanaav, and Bard of Blood. Off-screen, she has worked in marketing with Zomato and Cricbuzz’s Criclytics, and recently co-hosted Shark Tank India, blending creativity and strategy in a way that continues to set her apart.
