Triptii Dimri’s First Comedy Outing with Bad Newz: Trailer Out Now

Actor Triptii Dimri, known for her stellar performances in projects like Laila Majnu, Bulbbul, and Qala, and last seen in the blockbuster Animal, is set to return to the big screen alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk in Anand Tiwari’s Bad Newz.

The trailer, released today, has captivated audiences with Triptii’s portrayal of Saloni. She looks stunning, living up to her title of National Crush, and shares great chemistry with both Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk.

The film’s central theme revolves around Triptii’s character, Saloni, dealing with the phenomenon of heteropaternal superfecundation.

The trailer offers a refreshing blend of laughter and emotions, marking Triptii’s debut in the comedy genre. This also marks her first collaboration with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk.

Excited about her foray into comedy, Triptii Dimri said, “It’s my first comedy film. I have heard somewhere that it is easy to make people cry but very hard to make people laugh. I realized this on set because comedy, I think, is the most difficult genre for me. Anand Sir and I did a lot of workshops and readings.”

Speaking about her co-stars, Vicky and Ammy, Triptii further added, “I received a lot of support from both of them. Half of your work gets easier when you have good co-actors, and luckily, both of them were really supportive. Whenever I got stuck, they would go out of their way to help me. I was truly blessed to have them by my side.”

Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is a much-awaited Amazon Prime Video venture in association with Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective, all set to hit the cinemas on July 19, 2024.

In addition to Bad Newz, Triptii is gearing up for other exciting projects, including Vicky Vidya Ka Wo Wala Video, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Dhadak 2, along with a few more unannounced projects.
