On May 14, rising global girl group XG concluded their historic first world tour, “XG 1st WORLD TOUR ‘The first HOWL’,” with a sold-out performance at the legendary Tokyo Dome, captivating a crowd of 50,000 fans. The event marked XG’s debut at the iconic venue — a dream come true for the group and a major milestone in their meteoric rise.
Launching in May 2024, the tour covered 35 cities across 18 countries and regions, totaling 47 shows, most of which sold out instantly. With over 400,000 fans attending globally, the tour was a resounding success, further cementing XG’s reputation as a powerhouse in the international music scene. Their buzzworthy appearance at Coachella 2025, where they trended at #2 on X (formerly Twitter), only added to the momentum leading into the Tokyo finale.
The Dome erupted as XG opened the show in bold red outfits with “HESONOO + X-GENE” from their first mini album NEW DNA. Fans were treated to explosive performances of “SHINOBI”, unveiled at Coachella, and “HOWLING,” the title track from their second mini album.
Among the highlights were standout moments like “GRL GVNG”, the Billboard Hot Trending #1 hit, and the live debut of “UNDEFEATED”, their collaboration with the game VALORANT. Energetic renditions of crowd-favorites like “TGIF,” “IYKYK,” and “Tippy Toes” showcased the group’s unity and stage command. A particularly emotional moment came with “XG MOVE #1,” the group’s pre-debut video — performed live for the very first time.
Special stages continued to thrill fans as MAYA and COCONA stunned with synchronized raps in “SHOW YOU CAN,” while JURIN and HARVEY delivered [XG TAPE #1] Chill Bill and CHISA, HINATA, and JURIA impressed with [XG VOX #1] Peaches, highlighting the group’s versatility.
Viral hits like “WOKE UP,” “SHOOTING STAR,” and the campaign anthem “IS THIS LOVE” for Shiseido’s Anessa campaign rounded out a high-energy setlist. Fans waved lightsticks shaped like spaceships during moving performances of “WINTER WITHOUT YOU” and “MASCARA”, as the members floated above the audience on themed stage rigs.
During the emotional encore, COCONA tearfully addressed the crowd:
“I told my mom at 11 that I’d perform at Tokyo Dome — and now, here I am. Thank you ALPHAZ, and thank you to my team. XG will go even further — even to space!” The group then debuted their heartfelt new single “MILLION PLACES,” dedicated to the fans and memories made throughout their global journey.
The show closed with the history-making track “LEFT RIGHT,” the first song by a Japanese girl group to enter the U.S. Mediabase Top 40 Radio Airplay Chart, where it held a spot for 13 consecutive weeks.
With 23 songs packed into a 2.5-hour spectacle, the Tokyo Dome finale wasn’t just a concert — it was a celebration of ambition, global unity, and musical excellence. Fans can now relive the journey through the official music video for “MILLION PLACES,” released alongside the performance.
