Ayushmann Khurrana Heaps Praise on Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam Starrer HAQ Trailer, Wishes Luck

Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam are making waves all over the internet with the recently released trailer of HAQ. Directed by Suparn S Varma, the film is inspired by the landmark judgement of the Supreme Court on Mohd. Ahmed Khan v. Shah Bano Begum case. Ever since the trailer was unveiled, it has started receiving a string of reactions from the audiences, with many praising its daring plot. Recently, actor Ayushmann Khurrana gave a huge shoutout to the trailer and also wished luck to the team.

He shared the film’s trailer on his social media stories and penned, “Such a powerful and hard-hitting trailer! Wishing the team of #HAQ all the love and success.”

HAQ marks a daring step in filmmaking of today’s Bollywood. It revolves around the story of a Muslim woman, played by Yami Gautam, who fights for justice, demanding rights for her children and herself under Section 125. Emraan Hashmi plays a celebrated lawyer, and both actors have stepped into their most power-packed roles so far. The trailer has got the audiences hailing the reimagination of one of the most controversial and game-changing cases in India of the 80s, including the Muslim audience. The community is also backing the film, stating that the trailer does not feel like a “religious matter”.

With audiences strongly reacting to the trailer and an actor like Ayushmann Khurrana supporting the film’s concept, there’s a significant level of curiosity building about what’s more to unveil as the film releases. Produced by Junglee Pictures, in association with Insomnia Films and Baweja Studios, HAQ is directed by one of the most dynamic directors today in the industry Suparn S Varma (creator of Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, The Family Man, Rana Naidu), and written by Reshu Nath. It also stars actors Sheeba Chaddha, Danish Hussain, Vartika Singh and Aseem Hattangady, and is scheduled to release in theatres on 7th November 2025.
