Mumbai, July 15, 2024 – Pancham Nishad, a premier organization dedicated to promoting Indian classical music, presents the 19th edition of the “Bolava Vitthal – Abhangwani” concert. This unique musical celebration of Aashadi Ekadashi will be held at the prestigious Shanmukhananda Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Auditorium, Sion, Mumbai, on Wednesday, 17th July 2024, from 5:30 p.m. onwards.
Aashadi Ekadashi, heralding the onset of the revered Pandharpur Wari pilgrimage, becomes the stage for a profound musical journey. Bolava Vitthal transcends boundaries and echoes the sacred verses of saints like Sant Tukaram, Sant Dnyaneshwar, Sant Eknath, and Sant Namdev from Maharashtra, alongside the melodic offerings of saints from Karnataka such as Purandara Dasa and Kanakadasa.
This year’s event features a stellar lineup of distinguished artists, including acclaimed vocalists Kaushiki Chakraborty, Venkatesh Kumar, and Jayateerth Mevundi. They will be accompanied by an ensemble of talented musicians: Nikhil Pathak, Ojas Adhiya, and Keshav Joshi on Tabla, Sukhad Munde on Pakhawaj, Aditya Oke and Narendra Nayak on Harmonium, Shadaj Godkhindi on Flute, and Suryakant Surve on Additional Rhythms.
