Celebrated visual artist Santanu Hazarika joins forces with the NBA to curate a one-of-a-kind creative experience for the inaugural BUDX NBA House India, taking place on June 7–8, 2025, at the DOME, SVP Stadium, Mumbai. This landmark event marks the NBA’s first immersive pop culture celebration in India, an electrifying intersection of basketball, music, streetwear, and visual art.
At the heart of this cultural fusion is the BUDX NBA House All-Star Art Team, a dynamic collective of creative disruptors curated by Santanu Hazarika, each handpicked to represent the spirit of rebellion, innovation, and raw street energy that defines the global basketball culture. The team includes artists like Mooze, Chaitanya Dixit, Mackwin Baptist, and Layrd.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Hazarika said, “My expression, my art has always been rooted in the realm of sub-culture, navigating an identity that borrows heavily from street culture and the raw aesthetic of movement .The hand painted game ball is a conduit which combines the many layers of this expression. Done up in my signature art style, the design combines the essence of basketball, music and street art movement in a dynamic form, which BudX NBA house stands for!”
Santanu Hazarika, a self-taught multidisciplinary artist from Assam, India, has carved his own space in contemporary art through collaborations with brands like Adidas, Red Bull, and Reebok. From winning the Red Bull World Doodle Art Championship to becoming one of the most sought-after artists of his generation, Santanu is known for his intricate fusion of anime, mythology, street culture, and music in his work. With this, he became the first Indian visual artist to collaborate with NBA for the most awaited event.
The BUDX NBA House promises a two-day spectacle of art, fashion, basketball, and music, with live performances by artists like Hanumankind, Parimal Shais, and Shioriy Bradshaw, alongside appearances from NBA legends Derek Fisher and Gary Payton.
