Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations have begun across the nation. As many welcome Bappa at their homes and pandals, movie-inspired figures of Bappa have also started coming in. In a recent, Ram Charan’s fans in Srikakulam welcomed Lord Ganesha with a ‘Peddi Village style Ganesha Mandapam’.
The Peddi-inspired figure of Lord Ganesha sees the deity decked in striped shirt and pants, with one hand carrying a cricket bat and the other hand adjusting the sleeves – resembling Ram Charan’s frame from Peddi glimpse.
This is not the first time that Ram Charan’s fans have crafted deity figures inspired by his films. Earlier, fans have also built up Ram Charan’s RRR-inspired Lord Ganesha idol – the bow-wielding look.
The influence of designing a Peddi-inspired Ganpati idol for Ganesh Chaturthi also stems from Ram Charan’s mass appeal. Given that the anticipation is rising among his fan base, the excitement is also setting the stage for the film’s grand release. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is scheduled to release in theatres next year on Ram Charan’s birthday, 27th March.
